About us
Empowering fashion talent through funding, we provide crucial financial support that helps emerging designers bring their visions to life and scale their businesses with confidence. Our goal is to remove financial barriers and fuel creative growth in the fashion industry.
Through mentorship and industry visibility, we connect designers with experienced professionals and high-impact opportunities. From expert guidance to strategic exposure, we equip fashion talent with the tools and recognition they need to thrive.
This year, we are allocating $50,000 to support the visibility and exposure that emerging fashion brands need to thrive. We believe in empowering the next generation of designers by helping them gain the industry recognition they deserve.
Each successful applicant will receive $2,000 to partially cover expenses related to runway production. This funding is intended to ease the financial burden of showcasing their work and to help elevate their presence in the fashion world.
This year’s partnership
The Fashion Forward Fund is partnering with Flying Solo to give emerging designers a clear path to visibility—either on the runway or in New York retail.
By combining Flying Solo’s platform for independent designers with the Fund’s financial support and industry expertise, this initiative helps brands gain real exposure and grow faster.
Selected designers will receive:
• Fashion Week: A $2,000 grant toward runway show participation
• Retail: 50% off Flying Solo monthly membership, for up to 6 months
Together, we’re lowering the barriers to entry and making it easier for new talent to be seen, supported, and runway-ready.
The grant is released only on acceptance by Flying Solo committee.
